The Deer Creek Challenge takes place in Denver, Colorado and features a 12,741-foot elevation gain (averaging 127 feet per mile), making it the most challenging single-day Century ride in the United States. In addition to the 100-mile Century course, participants can also choose from 64-mile Metric Century and 33-mile options.
All courses will begin and end at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, and the mountainous terrain, natural beauty and metro-Denver location make the area a popular destination for Colorado's hardy cyclists, many of whom train on portions of the course throughout the summer. This organized ride will provide safety and complete support for participants to test their stamina at the end of the cycling season.
A post-ride party will feature ample rewards, including a catered lunch, free beer (for those 21 and over), free massages, a commemorative t-shirt and more. Participants can purchase commemorative tour or Century jerseys during registration, however only cyclists completing the Century ride will be eligible to receive the Century ride jersey.
Event proceeds will benefit select nonprofits in the Deer Creek Canyon community as well as statewide.
