Probably the only thing better than bicycling on K-177 is to ride it with a bunch of other cyclists!  The Cottonwood 200 (May 24-26) travels from Topeka to Council Grove to Cottonwood Falls and back.  We have been traveling K-177 and visiting the sites mentioned in the post since 1976.
