Bicycle Commuting Tips from Lincoln, NE

The Lincoln Journal Star recently featured a video interview with Butch Johnson, an all-weather bicycle commuter. He rides every day, rain, snow, or shine. Hear his tips on gear and garments to be ready to ride, in the cold, regardless of the weather.

Butch is sales manager for Cycle Works in Lincoln. He talks about bike choices, component selection, clothing selection, and the importance of layering to keep warm and dry when the weather turns frigid.

Best quote: “When I get up in the morning, I don’t even think about other ways to get to work. I just ride my bike. After awhile it just becomes natural.”

Thanks for the tip from The DirtBlog.
