Greetings Kansas Cycling Community,

Thanks for bringing attention to the U.S. Bicycle Route System. I will reach out to Becky very soon. I am hoping as we develop interest in the neighboring Missouri, we'll be able to entice Kansas to join in the project. Please note that often the bike/ped coordinator isn't the one making the decision to not participate. I am building partnerships between DOTs and bicycling non-profits and/or private organizations to leverage the project.

Lets work in cooperation and get the USBRS built!

Thanks. Ginny Sullivan

An update. Becky Pepper quickly responded to my email.

"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, I missed the survey because I was not aware of it. I will contact Adventure Cycling to ensure they have my correct contact information, and to see if it is not too late to take the survey."

So, this is good news. Thanks to KS Cyclist for getting the ball (and bicycles) rolling!

I hope you all in KS. can get those routes worked up, it's pretty much a fact that when we head EAST, it's usually thru KS. We did Hyw. 36 on our motorcycle a few years ago and that would seem to be a really good W to E route a lot more laid back than 50 or even 160/166! Good Luck and much success!
