KCK Collision Victim Identified

Jeremiah A. ConlinThe bicyclist killed yesterday in Kansas City, Kansas has been identified as Jeremiah A. Conlin, age 33, of KCK.

KCK police have not released any further details about the crash, in which local media reported that the “preliminary investigation shows the male bicyclist in his 30s was traveling northbound on South Valley Street and, when entering the intersection onto Ruby Avenue, struck a car traveling westbound.”

Conlin died at a local hospital. The police department’s traffic support unit is continuing to investigate the crash.

    “Jeremiah Andrew Conlin, 33, of KCK passed away on July 9, 2013. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 1pm on Tuesday after service at Pleasant View Cemetery in Agricola, KS.

    Jeremiah was born on November 21, 1979 to John A. and Virginia K. Conlin. He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Deborah Conlin. He is survived by his mother; step father, Art Ferry; son, Jeremiah Andrew Conlin, Jr.; 1/2 brothers, Anthony Carpenter and Bryan Ferry; 1/2 sisters, Karen Myers, Christina Helm and Jennifer Rief.”
