Douglas State Fishing Lake - Wildflowers - Wildflowers bloom in profusion at Douglas State Fishing Lake. Here are some signs, as well as a view of one of the restroom facilities in the background. Bourbon State Fishing Lake - Campsite - This is a typical campsite at Bourbon State Fishing Lake, with trees, grass, picnic table, and fire ring. Some sites are right next to the lake, while others are set back in the trees. Entrance sign at Kill Creek Park. Santa Fe Safari Campground - Sign - This signat the Santa Fe Safari Campground in Chanute, Kansas lists the rules and regulations for the campground. Leavenworth First City Mural - Bicycle tourists pose beneath the 'First City' mural in Leavenworth, Kansas. The mural depicts 'Buffalo Bill', an early lawman in what was the first city incorporated in the state of Kansas.
Kansas Stream at Hillsdale Lake - A small rocky stream crossing on the mountain bike trails at Hillsdale Lake. This was during a fairly wet Spring, so there was quite a bit of water flowing. Later in the year, this stream is likely to be smaller and slower. Garnett North Lake Park - Sign - This is the entrance sign to North Lake Park in Garnett, Kansas. It lists the facilities at the lake, and specifies that camping is permitted in the camping area only. It also says that payment can be made at city hall or the police station. There is also a self-pay station at the campground. Baxter Springs Riverside Park - Park Rules - This sign at the entrance to Baxter Springs Riverside Park lists the rules for the park.
