Shawnee State Fishing Lake is located near Silver Lake, Kansas, and consists of 135 surface acres of water and 400 acres of public wildlife area, which is dominated by native warm season grasses, forbs, and scattered brushy areas.
Shawnee State Fishing Lake provides free primitive camping in designated areas on the east side of the lake. Pit toilets are provided, but no potable water is available. Campfires are allowed in provided metal rings only.
