Bike for Health is a one-day bicycle ride in Ellsworth County, Kansas. Riders are challenged to ride further then they normally would ride, up to 100 miles.
The ride benefits the Healthy Living Fund through the Smoky Hill Charitable Foundation. The Healthy Living Fund promotes healthy living in Ellsworth County. Riders are encouraged to find sponsors who will donate to the Healthy Living Fund, corporate sponsors are welcomed. All sponsorships are tax-deductible and will be matched by Kansas Health Foundation and co-sponsor Frank Toman dollar for dollar up to the first $2,000.00. All donations received above the $2,000.00 will be matched by 50% from the Kansas Health Foundation.
The ride begins at 9:00am at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas. The ride will continue to Holyrood and back, a 32 mile loop, with the majority of the ride on Kansas Highway 156, which has an eight-foot paved shoulder.
