Buffalo Bill Century

The Leavenworth Bicycle Club invites bicycle riders of all ages and abilities to participate in the annual Buffalo Bill Century ride. The ride starts and ends in downtown Leavenworth, and passes through the downtowns of seven unique and historic cities: Leavenworth, Lansing, Basehor, De Soto, Eudora, Tonganoxie, and Easton. Bicycle riders of all ages and abilities will enjoy participating in a fully supported ride over scenic rolling country roads that span the length and breadth of beautiful Leavenworth County.

Multiple routes are available ranging from a short 25-mile loop that is suitable for beginners to the full 100-mile century route. The route is mostly on paved secondary highways. These hilly byways can be extremely challenging for cyclists. While minor repair service and emergency transport will be available, riders should ensure their bicycles are in good working order and they are fit enough to travel the distances they choose.

The Buffalo Bill Century weekend includes a cyclocross race on Friday, the Buffalo Bill Century on Saturday, and a 5K Run/Walk on Sunday. There is a Pasta Feed on Friday night and beer/barbeque on Saturday afternoon.
