The Death Ride Tour, Ride For Life is a three-day charity cycle event to support The Children's Hospital and the ALS Association. The DRT is held annually in the beginning of June and starts in Silverton, Colorado. Day one travels 71 miles to Telluride, day two is 118 miles to Durango, and day three travels 48 miles back to Silverton.
As you may know, Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the US and south western Colorado is spectacular when it comes to a place to cycle. It follows what is called the DEATH RIDE LOOP -- 230 miles with over 16,500 feet of climbing. It is made up of several highways in south western Colorado called the San Juan Skyway.
The event is limited to 250 participants.
