Firecracker 100

The Firecracker 100 is a single-day bike tour that starts in Ottawa, and is held in early July, with proceeds donated to the local Veterans Day activities, which includes a parade, reenactments, and the Healing Field of over 600 U.S. flags.

The ride begins and ends at Forest Park in Ottawa, Kansas, and covers paved roads in Franklin County, Kansas. The longest route passes through the communities of Ottawa, Centropolis, Pomona, Williamsburg, Princeton, and Rantoul.

There are 25-mile, 62-mile, and 100-mile options, with SAG support every 10 miles or so, as well as lunch, ice cream and watermelon.
