Freedom from Cancer Ride

Cancer affects individuals, families and communities everywhere. The Freedom from Cancer Ride is a local response by members of the United We Ride cycling team in Kansas City, Missouri to raise funds for cancer research, treatment and family support services. The team strives to unite local communities in a common fight against cancer and promote bicycling safety, transportation, fitness and fun.

Benefiting Alex's Lemonade Stand, a portion of the net proceeds from the Freedom Ride are committed to this great organization. Alex's Lemonade Stand focuses on the fight against childhood cancers.

The Freedom from Cancer Ride begins in Independence, Missouri and offers options ranging from one to 22 miles on Little Blue Trace Trail or 35-86 miles of country roads in Eastern Jackson County. The road route takes cyclists through Independence, Sibley, Buckner, Wellington and Lexington.
