Freedom Ride

Freedom Ride

The Freedom Ride is a gravel road mountain bike ride which will begin and end in the founding city of All Veterans Day, Emporia, Kansas. The ride is part of the Emporia Main Street Freedom Fest, a day of activities kicking off All Veterans Week.

Participants may choose from the following routes: a 16-mile family ride, or a 40-mile race. A SAG stop is located at the halfway point. Bring at least one water bottle and bike flat repair kit. A helmet is mandatory.

The Freedom Fest is a series of outdoor activities for all ages and ability groups. Each event takes place at Soden's Grove in Emporia, Kansas. The Freedom Fest starts off a series of activities honoring military veterans and their families. In addition to the Freedom Ride, there is also a 5K Freedom Run/Walk and a Kiwanis Zoo Walk/Jog (1 mile).
