The Mowbray Metric is an annual bicycle ride weekend that takes place each July in McPherson, KS and features fun bicycle rides for the entire family.
Saturday starts off with a short breakfast ride in the morning. Explore the county during the day and then join the group for an evening ride with an ice cream social after.
The Sunday ride offers distances of 20, 40 and 62 miles with SAG support provided by the local Amateur Radio Club. An inviting lunch in air conditioning awaits the riders when they return. This is a fun ride and not a race.
A bicycling tradition in McPherson since 1983, this event gives local and out-of-town cycling enthusiasts two great days of riding, and funds raised benefit recreational trail development via the Central Kansas Conservancy.
