The Northland Nightmare is an annual bicycle ride that starts in Liberty, Missouri and covers some of the most scenic and challenging terrain in the Kansas City area.
The ride offers routes of 20, 50, 62, or 100 miles, and all courses are challenging, with many delightful hills. This is not a flat route by any stretch of the imagination, so let the rider beware! Temperatures can vary wildly at this time of year, but be prepared for extreme heat. Drink lots of water before, during and after the ride.
The Northland Nightmare is organized by the Kansas City Bicycle Club, which provided full SAG service with plenty of cold water, fresh fruit, and all the extra goodies KCBC rides are known for.
