Onabike

The Chamber of Commerce of Onawa, Iowa hosts the annual Onabike, western Iowa's largest one-day bike ride. Each year, the ride is scheduled for the fourth Saturday in August, and takes riders through the scenic Loess Hills. The ride begins and ends on Onawa's main street, the "Widest Main Street in the USA".

There are two route options, a flat 29-mile route, and a 63-mile route that heads east from Turin to Soldier, Moorhead, Pisgah, Little Sioux, Blencoe, and back to Onawa. There are approximately 9 miles of hilly roads to ride up (and down) on the long route. The ride includes rest stops, SAG wagons, and ends with a meal in downtown Onawa.
