The Wicked Wind 100, in early May, welcomes riders of all abilities for 25-, 50-, and 100-mile rides. This scenic adventure takes place southwest of Wichita, traveling flat to rolling terrain on lightly traveled public roads. Each ride is a loop, finishing at the starting point.
Rest stops are provided every 10 miles or so, offering water, fruit, cookies and other snacks. SAG vehicles with water and mechanical assistance will run the routes, and can provide transportation for those riders unable to finish. Lunch is provided for those riding the 50 and 100 mile tours.
The Wicked Wind 100 is sponsored by the Oz Bicycle Club of Wichita.
