Bruce Whaley Spirit Ride

Bruce Whaley was a Topeka cyclist whose acute leukemia unexpectedly and abruptly claimed his life at age 24. The Spirit Ride is a tribute to the memory of Bruce Whaley and the spirit for life he displayed. The money raised from this ride will be donated to the Leukemia Society.

You can choose from a 6.5 mile Family Fun ride, or a 25 or 50 mile ride through southeast Shawnee County. The ride fee includes SAGs, a t-shirt, and pizza at the end of the ride. As always, helmets are required for all riders.

The Bruce Whaley Spirit Ride is hosted and organized by the Kaw Valley Bicycle Club.
