Triple Bypass

The Triple Bypass is Team Evergreen's premier event. Over 120 miles and more than 10,000 feet of elevation gain over three major mountain passes make this an event only for the fittest cyclists. The ride began in in 1988 with just a handful of Evergreen cyclists. This is one of the nation's top single-day recreational cycling events, and raises funds for a number of beneficiaries.

The ride runs from Evergreen, Colorado to Avon over Squaw (11,140 ft.), Loveland (11,990 ft.), Swan Mountain and Vail (10,560 ft.) passes, with over 10,000 ft. of lung-busting gain in elevation. Five aid stations are strategically located along the route - all with appropriate cycling food, energy drinks, portable toilets and plenty of water. The Triple Bypass is limited to 3,500 participants, and the quota is often reached early, so sign up quickly!

A percent of the proceeds of the Triple Bypass is distributed annually to community groups both in the cycling community and the greater community in which we all live and ride. In recent years, Triple Bypass participants and sponsors helped generate over $90,000 in charity support. See the web site for a full list of beneficiaries.
