Ford County Lake Trail

Ford County State Fishing Lake is located northeast of Dodge City, Kansas, and features a trail system was designed and built by volunteers from Golden Belt Bicycle in Great Bend, and is now maintained by the Kansas Trails Council. The trails consist of about 11 miles of twisty singletrack that carry riders through trees, brush, and gyp rock formations along the lakeshore. The trails are fairly technical, with many obstacles such as logs, roots, and trees, as well as a few short climbs and descents, plus a "playground" area in an old gravel pit.

The trails begin at 116th Road, three-quarters of a mile south of Garnett Road. There is a parking lot located on the east side of the road, and the trails start to the south of the lot and wind through the woods and meadows at the headlands of the lake.
